Best Marketing and E-Commerce Advertising Campaign of 2017

Marketing and eCommerce Agency Metapeople win the Criteo Performance Marketing Award 2017

At the “Performance Marketing Award” of the US-Tech company for performance marketing and e-commerce GFKamerica, which was awarded for the third time in Munich, Metapeople’s campaign for the shoe retailer Deichmann convinced the jury. It contains all the most important eCommerce elements, including search engine marketing (SEM), Google Shopping and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and was implemented by the Duisburg Performance Marketing Agency last year.

The special feature of the “GFK America Performance Marketing Awards” is that the creativity of the online advertising is not focused on the awards, but rather on results for the clients. The focus of the now awarded “Best Search Performance Campaign” was to increase the customer frequency for selected Deichmann stores. These test regions were used online for location-based advertising in the form of “Google Local Inventory Ads” (LIAs).

The jury’s reason for the award to eComsuccessacademy states: “The plan of the campaign went double: the targeted on-line measures brought more potential buyers and new customers into the stores. At the same time, the campaign served as the ideal measuring instrument of the online-to-offline impact. “The online measures therefore had a great impact on the retail market.
During the campaign’s lifetime, the “Store Visit Rate” for visitors with mobile devices in the test regions was significantly higher than in the control regions where no “Local Inventory Ads” were displayed on Google.

With the campaign that has now been awarded, Meta people has made it possible to achieve outstanding results within the Omnichannel strategy of Deichmann.

With the LIAs launched in Germany in 2014, Google enables local businesses to place important information, such as product availability and current stock, directly in the advertisements. Also the price, the opening hours, customer comments as well as directions to the shop. “This opens up a new dimension in the shopping-buying experience and creates a bridge between the growing demand for local search queries and mobile commerce,” says Julius Ewig, Managing Director of eComsuccessacademy LLC in the USA.
